The 16th graduation ceremony for ICEF students of HSE and the London School of Economics has taken place at the residence of the British Ambassador to Russia. This year’s ceremony had a record number of graduates, with nearly 190 bachelor’s and master’s students receiving their diplomas.

ICEF Graduate Receives PhD from Harvard
Vladimir Mukharlyamov graduated from ICEF in 2008, before completing an MA at the London School of Economics, and a PhD at Harvard University. In spring 2016, Vladimir defended his PhD thesis at Harvard, and in August he takes up his post as professor in finance at Georgetown University.

'Sooner or Later, Someone Needed to Write a Manual for Self-management'

Anton Zainiev and Daria Varlamova, recent HSE graduates, have written a popular science book This is Crazy! A guidebook of psychological disorders for a big city resident. The authors told us why an urban resident needs to understand how their head works, how journalism can be turned into a non-fiction book, and why bipolar disorder seems fashionable. Anton and Daria also told us how and why they decided to write the book.
