The HSE University Rector wishes a Happy New Year to the HSE family. The HSE Faculty of Computer Science, Yandex, and Otkritie Bank are holding the fifth International Data Analysis Olympiad (IDAO). There will be two competition stages: the qualifying round will last from February 1 to 28, 2022, and the finals will take place from April 16-17. Registration for the event is already underway.

This academic year, HSE University launched the first online master's programme ‘Master of Computer Vision’ supervised by Professor Andrey Savchenko. ICEF hosted its first in-person graduation ceremony since the pandemic led to the restrictions. Diplomas were awarded to two classes. Hosted by HSE Cultures Centre, the day-long ceremony unfolded in sessions, one for bachelor’s students and one for master’s. Congratulating graduands  were the faculty of ICEF HSE and professors of the University of London (LU) and the London School of Economics (LSE).

But it is impossible to have a successful business without failures because they point the way to the correct strategy. In September, the new HSE online master’s programme in Business Analytics launched on Coursera. Its educational content is close to the practice-oriented on-site HSE master’s programme in Corporate Finance. Tonka Lange graduated from the HSE International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) in 2008 and then entered the LSE Master’s programme.
