Financial Technologies and Data Analysis (FinTech), a joint Master’s programme from HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science and Sberbank, will have its fifth graduation this summer. The programme opened in 2017 and has become a major educational project for both the university and Sberbank. Students, partners, and teachers of FinTech explained what the programme is and why it is worth enrolling in.
In 2021, HSE University was involved in the launch of two joint master’s programmes. The first was implemented by Pskov State University and the HSE University Institute of Education. The second was a joint project between the Institute of Education and the ‘Investment to the Future’ charitable foundation created by Sberbank. The first graduation ceremonies for both programmes took place on July 4. The graduands were awarded their master’s diplomas by HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov, Pskov State University First Vice Rector Olga Serova, and Director of Projects at the Investment to the Future foundation Ekaterina Yadova.
Polina Lomonosova, a graduate of the master’s programme in Integrated Communications at HSE University, is not only the head of PR projects at Yandex Music, but also teaches at HSE where she introduces students to the hottest business cases in the industry. The English-taught Master of International Business (MIB) programme is celebrating its ten-year anniversary. It has developed a tradition of succession: some of its graduates not only work in international companies, but are also employed as instructors on the programme. On September 9th, the Zaryadye Park Media Center and Underground Museum opened an exhibition of graduates from Moscow art universities ‘GRADUATION'22’. Graduates of HSE Art and Design School are taking part in the event. The grand opening of the exhibition was timed to coincide with the park’s first anniversary.
Psychologists Sergey Andreev and Egor Surdeykin are both graduates of HSE University. Together with other graduates of the university, they created a project to provide supplementary education for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The programme for middle- and high-school students covers such subjects as computer science, programming, and mathematics.
The English-taught Master's programme ‘Master of Data Science’ run by theHSE Faculty of Computer Science and its industrial partner, Yandex, brings together students from more than 30 countries. The programme is implemented completely online. Among the graduates of the second intake of the programme are Calvin Tee from Singapore and Lyubov Sharaborina from Moscow, Russia.
On July 18, the graduation ceremony for Master’s students in Corporate Research, Development and Innovation Management took place to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the programme’s launch. The students were able not only to receive their diplomas, sample delicious cake and take pictures, but also to mingle with graduates from previous years.
