HSE Among Top Five Universities with Highest Paid Graduates
The Higher School of Economics was ranked fifth among Russian universities with the highest paid graduates during their first year of employment, according to data from an employment monitoring study by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. On average, graduates who completed a full-time undergraduate programme at HSE make 51,700 rubles per month, which is up from previous years and nearly double the average for the country as a whole.

The HSE Endowment was created in 2007 and includes donations from individuals and companies. As of today, it comes to over 550 million roubles. It is only surpassed by the endowments of four other leading Russian universities – St. Petersburg State University (1.036 billion roubles), MGIMO (1.5 billion roubles), European University in St. Petersburg(1.64 billion roubles), and SkolTech (4.387 billion roubles).

Austrian Ambassador Awards Diplomas to Graduates of Double-Degree Programme in Big Data Systems and Information Systems Management

On June 28, 2017, the second graduation ceremony for the double-degree Master’s programme in Big Data Systems (HSE, Russia) and Information Systems Management (UAS Technikum Wien, Austria) was held at the Austrian Residence. Dr. Emil Brix, Ambassador of Austria in Moscow, gave the opening speech. During the reception, he congratulated graduates on successfully completing the programme and stressed the importance of cooperation between the universities for multicultural and professional communication.

1st place

has been taken by HSE in a Russian university ranking of the salaries earned by graduates in Finance & Economics. This ranking was prepared by the Superjob.ru research centre, based on a comparison of the average wages earned by Russians who graduated university in 2011 – 2016.

HSE Enters Top 50 in THE Young University Rankings Under 30 Years Old

In its 25th anniversary year, HSE has marked new achievements, entering the Top 50 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings among universities under 30 years old, and in the Top 100 in the global Young University Rankings under 50. HSE has become the first Russian university to enter the top list of THE Young Universities, a global institutional ranking.

Vladimir Mukharlyamov graduated from ICEF in 2008, before completing an MA at the London School of Economics, and a PhD at Harvard University. In spring 2016, Vladimir defended his PhD thesis at Harvard, and in August he takes up his post as professor in finance at Georgetown University.
