has been taken by HSE in a Russian university ranking of the salaries earned by graduates in Finance & Economics. This ranking was prepared by the Superjob.ru research centre, based on a comparison of the average wages earned by Russians who graduated university in 2011 – 2016.

In its 25^th anniversary year, HSE has marked new achievements, entering the Top 50 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings among universities under 30 years old, and in the Top 100 in the global Young University Rankings under 50. HSE has become the first Russian university to enter the top list of THE Young Universities, a global institutional ranking. 

Anna Zotova, a recent graduate of the Master’s programme in Global Business at HSE Nizhny Novgorod, spent the second year of her studies in Austria where she has undertaken several internships, including her current one at Tannpapier, an international company that manufactures paper for cigarettes. The company has nine offices around the world, as well as a plant in Pskov, Russia.

HSE’s Faculty of Business and Management and Faculty of Economic Sciences were in the top three of the faculties most sought after by employers in Russia.

In 2015 Alexey Bufetov graduated from HSE Doctoral School of Mathematics, and is now working at MIT. He has talked to HSE News Site about his research and his career as a mathematician.

The 16^th graduation ceremony for ICEF students of HSE and the London School of Economics has taken place at the residence of the British Ambassador to Russia. This year’s ceremony had a record number of graduates, with nearly 190 bachelor’s and master’s students receiving their diplomas.

Vladimir Mukharlyamov graduated from ICEF in 2008, before completing an MA at the London School of Economics, and a PhD at Harvard University. In spring 2016, Vladimir defended his PhD thesis at Harvard, and in August he takes up his post as professor in finance at Georgetown University.

Andrei Kostylev graduated from the ICEF Master’s Programme in 2012, and is now a Senior Manager in the Strategic Direction department at the state corporation Rosatom. On Saturdays, Andrei leads a course in Business Negotiation and workshops on ‘The Foundations of Banking and Finance' for ICEF students. Andrei told us a little about his studies and career.

Graduates of the joint FIFA/CIES – HSE programme in Sports Management have won the FIFA/CIES Network Prize for 2016 for their 360º Academy project. The winners were awarded their prize by Gianni Infantino.
