Pavel Solomatin is one of the first wave of graduates from the HSE Faculty of Mathematics. He successfully graduated from the undergraduate and master’s programmes, and then enrolled in the Leiden University doctoral programme, where he is currently studying number theory under the academic supervision of Bart de Smit.
A total of 25 graduates of HSE’s Master’s Programme in Business Informatics have also received an academic diploma from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
The first 36 students have successfully defended their final projects and graduated from the joint HSE-FIFA/CIES Sports Management Programme. Their ideas will be put to use at various sports organisations and during the organisation of the 2018 World Cup.


On June 3, HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov met in Berlin with university alumni living in Germany, as well as with students and postgraduate students who are currently continuing their studies at Humboldt University. During the meeting, they discussed the development of the Higher School of Economics, differences in approaches to the educational process at universities in Russia and Germany, and the prospect for transferring certain Western practices to the realities of Russia.

London Connection, online magazine of the University of London International programmes published an interview with Vassiliy Kosov, ICEF BSc Economics and Finance graduate of 2014, and spoke to him about studying for two degrees concurrently, winning a scholarship to LSE, and the economic outlook for Russia.
Annika Razroeva, who graduated with her undergraduate degree in 2014 from HSE’s School of Statistics and Data Analysis, discusses her experience in getting her master’s in Dortmund, Germany.
