Nikolay Kuzin, a 2011 graduate of ICEF, is brand manager at Sanofi Pasteur (France), a company that has been manufacturing vaccines for many years and where he oversees the launch of new products in Eastern European markets. We spoke with Nikolay about how he combines the background in finance with the administrative responsibilities in his position, about the unique nature of French master’s programmes, about how long it really takes to develop a vaccine, and about why Europeans trust medical developments in their countries.

There are quite a few HSE graduates among HSE’s faculty. Four employees of the HSE Innovations Management Department are former and current students of the Department’s Master’s programme in ‘Corporate Research, Development and Innovation Management’. HSE News Service spoke with them to find out why they are working at their alma mater, what teaching means to them, and what they like about their students.

In late March at the Kommunarka COVID-19 Hospital outside of Moscow, a pilot project was launched that allows healthcare professionals to coordinate their efforts remotely while working with coronavirus patients. It is said that a young professional must choose between an academic career or a career in business. Faculty of Computer Science alumnus and Ilya Segalovich scholarship recipient, Mikhail Fomichev, succeeds in both. Mikhail told the HSE News Service about his work at HSE University and Yandex.

Every year HSE graduates get accepted to postgraduate schools at the world’s leading universities. Vladislav Semerikov is just now completing his fourth year in the Bachelor’s Programme ‘Economics’, and he has already been accepted to a PhD programme at Pennsylvania State University.
