Alexey Masyutin is Russia’s first research doctorate in computer science, having earned his PhD in Computer Science from HSE University in 2018. He currently heads the HSE AI Centre and oversees the joint master’s programme between HSE University and Sber. In this interview with Age-Mates, he described when HSE University first came into his life and how it is helping him to make his dreams come true.

Eight graduates of the 2021 Bachelor's programme in Design and Contemporary Art at the HSE Art and Design School presented their projects at the Diploma21 exhibition, which recently opened at the HSE ART GALLERY. Each installation is the culmination of a whole year of work by the artists, who reflect on different themes, explore, criticise, and construct a specific language of communication.

Gleb Zinkovsky graduated from ICEF with a bachelor’s degree in 2014, before working as an Associate for PwC (Cyprus) and E&Y (Moscow). Daria Smuseva and Ivan Malakhov are HSE MIEM graduates who met when they were students at HSE University. They are now married and are studying for their PhDs at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy). Visitors to the blazar art fair—the first major art event of autumn 2021—had the chance to visit the HSE Art and Design School stand to see works by Aleksandra Walz, Katerina Egorova, Polina Shilkinite, and Andrey Valmus. Another six HSE students and graduates took part as independent artists in the fair, which ran from September 8–12.
