Moscow Alumni Golf Tournament Comes to a Close
On June 26, 2016, Moscow City Golf Club held the Moscow Alumni Golf Tournament, organized by the HSE and MGIMO Alumni Associations. This was the first joint event held by the two alumni associations. Participants spent 5 hours competing against each other in sweltering 33ºC (91.4ºF) heat.
Visitors to the event were offered basic training in golf. The tournament was won by the MGIMO team. MGIMO alumni Irina Tarysheva (International Relations, 2000) won the individual competition, with second place going to HSE graduate Dmitry Armyakov (Economics Faculty, 1995), and third place to HSE graduate Muslim Primov (ICEF, 2011).
Winners received cups, and all participants were given commemorative medals. HSE graduate Ilya Partin was recognized for his invaluable contribution. The decision was made to hold another championship, between alumni from several different Moscow universities, in late September.
